10 types of entrepreneurs: which one are you?

There are several types of entrepreneurs, each with their own unique characteristics and approaches. Here are some examples of the types of entrepreneurs that can be found in Brazil:

Individual Entrepreneur

These are those who start a business on their own and are solely responsible for it. They can operate in various areas, from providing services to commerce and industry. They are responsible for everything in the business, from execution, planning, and marketing to financial control.

Social Entrepreneur

This type of entrepreneur seeks to solve social and environmental problems through their businesses. They prioritize positive impact on society over financial profit. Their projects focus on the common good above all else, ensuring every action of their company aligns with their larger purpose.

Digital Entrepreneur

Focused on online businesses, this entrepreneur uses the internet as the main platform to market products or services, such as e-commerce, digital marketing, content creation for social networks, among others. It is not an easier or cheaper entrepreneurship than others; it presents unique challenges and strategies, and the entrepreneur can choose the level at which they wish to expand their audience.

Intrapreneur

This is someone who innovates and seeks improvements within an already established company. They act as entrepreneurs within the organization's structure. Therefore, they are not founders of companies; they generally join as partners and contribute with their experience and strategies.

Startup Entrepreneur

Involved in the creation and development of startups, this type of entrepreneur seeks to create innovative products or services that have the potential for rapid growth and scalability.

Traditional Entrepreneur

This entrepreneur generally manages traditional and physical businesses, such as physical stores, restaurants, beauty salons, among others.

Cultural Entrepreneur

Operates in the field of culture, art, and entertainment. This can involve managing artists, producing cultural events, creating and managing artistic groups, radio and TV programs, entertainment content for digital platforms, book publishing, among others.

Rural Entrepreneur

Involved in the creation and management of businesses related to the agricultural and agribusiness sector, such as farms, organic food production, machinery, specialized teams, among others.

Franchise Entrepreneur

Invests in acquiring and managing franchises of already established businesses, following a business model already defined by the franchisor. An example of this type of entrepreneurship is the entrepreneur who opens a McDonald's, a Ótica Diniz, or a Farmácia São João.

Impact Entrepreneur

Similar to a social entrepreneur, this type of entrepreneur seeks to solve social or environmental problems through business while also seeking financial sustainability.

It is important to note that many entrepreneurs can fit into more than one of these categories, and the diversity of types reflects the variety of opportunities and approaches in the business world.
